About Ian Porter
Ian Porter is a novelist, public speaker and walks guide. He studied history at the University of Birmingham where he was awarded the Chancellor's Prize. His acclaimed novel, Whitechapel, is set in the East End slums of 1888, and to help publicise the book Ian began giving talks on Victorian London Poverty and also guiding walks around the East End. These talks and walks have proved so popular that as his second novel is to be set in the world of Suffragettes, he has started doing talks about women's fight for the vote, and guided Suffragette Walks through London's West End.
