Theatre Director KELLY WILKINSON
The organisers of the Celebrating Sylvia Pankhurst project were very lucky indeed to have the services of Kelly WIlkinson for two important elements of the Celebrating Sylvia Pankhurst project. Kelly led the drama characterisation workshops at West Hatch High School in preparation for a live exhibit at the opening of the 'Celebrating Sylvia Pankhurst' exhibition, and she directed the drama content of the music theatre workshops at Oaks Park High School & Specialist Music College.
Kelly Wilkinson is a freelance theatre director with a particular interest in developing new work. She has directed for many companies including the BBC Roots’ Stages of Sound, Arcola Theatre, Etcetera Theatre, Hampstead Theatre’s New Writing Festival and Start Nights – and is Artistic Director of Iso Productions, with two plays have recently been picked as the Time Out Critic's Choice. Kelly was Assistant Director to David Grindley on What the Butler Saw at Hampstead Theatre, a production transferred to the Criterion Theatre in the West End. At the Hampstead Theatre, she was Education Associate for five years, developing young writers. Kelly also directs the Heat & Light Company (ages 18–25), a group which she conceived and set up herself.
